1. Purpose
This policy aims to:
- Reduce the negative environmental impact of discarded electronic equipment.
- Promote responsible disposal, recycling, and recovery of electronic components.
- Educate customers and employees about safe E-Waste practices.
2. What Is E-Waste?
E-Waste refers to discarded electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) such as:
- Mobile phones, tablets, and accessories.
- Laptop and computer components.
- Chargers, cables, batteries, and other electronic peripherals.
- Damaged or obsolete electronic parts replaced during servicing.
3. Our Commitment
- We ensure that all E-Waste generated through our services is collected, stored, and disposed of responsibly.
- We work with authorized recycling partners to process E-Waste in compliance with E-Waste (Management) Rules and relevant environmental guidelines.
- We avoid sending electronic waste to landfills whenever possible by prioritizing reuse, refurbishing, and recycling.
4. Customer Responsibility
- Return old or damaged devices and parts to us for proper disposal or recycling.
- Avoid discarding electronics with regular household waste.
- Erase personal data from devices before handing them over for recycling or disposal.
5. Collection & Disposal Process
- Collection – E-Waste is collected from repair activities, device trade-ins, or customer drop-offs.
- Segregation – Components are categorized into reusable, recyclable, and non-recyclable materials.
- Recycling & Disposal – Authorized recyclers handle processing, extraction of reusable materials, and safe disposal of hazardous substances.
- Data Safety – Any data storage components (e.g., hard drives, memory chips) are securely erased or destroyed before disposal.
6. Batteries & Hazardous Materials
Batteries, especially lithium-ion types, are handled with extra care due to their hazardous nature.
- All hazardous E-Waste is sent to certified facilities for safe processing to prevent environmental contamination.
7. Compliance with Regulations
- Agnisio complies with:
- E-Waste (Management) Rules issued by the Government of India.
- Relevant environmental protection and hazardous waste disposal laws.
8. Continuous Improvement
