Effective Date: August 12, 2025

At Agnisio, we are committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices in the mobile repair and technology services industry. Our E-Waste Policy outlines how we handle, recycle, and dispose of electronic waste responsibly, in compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.

1. Purpose

This policy aims to:

  • Reduce the negative environmental impact of discarded electronic equipment.
  • Promote responsible disposal, recycling, and recovery of electronic components.
  • Educate customers and employees about safe E-Waste practices.

2. What Is E-Waste?

E-Waste refers to discarded electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) such as:

  • Mobile phones, tablets, and accessories.
  • Laptop and computer components.
  • Chargers, cables, batteries, and other electronic peripherals.
  • Damaged or obsolete electronic parts replaced during servicing.

3. Our Commitment

  • We ensure that all E-Waste generated through our services is collected, stored, and disposed of responsibly.
  • We work with authorized recycling partners to process E-Waste in compliance with E-Waste (Management) Rules and relevant environmental guidelines.
  • We avoid sending electronic waste to landfills whenever possible by prioritizing reuse, refurbishing, and recycling.

4. Customer Responsibility

  • Return old or damaged devices and parts to us for proper disposal or recycling.
  • Avoid discarding electronics with regular household waste.
  • Erase personal data from devices before handing them over for recycling or disposal.

5. Collection & Disposal Process

  • Collection – E-Waste is collected from repair activities, device trade-ins, or customer drop-offs.
  • Segregation – Components are categorized into reusable, recyclable, and non-recyclable materials.
  • Recycling & Disposal – Authorized recyclers handle processing, extraction of reusable materials, and safe disposal of hazardous substances.
  • Data Safety – Any data storage components (e.g., hard drives, memory chips) are securely erased or destroyed before disposal.

6. Batteries & Hazardous Materials

Batteries, especially lithium-ion types, are handled with extra care due to their hazardous nature.

  • All hazardous E-Waste is sent to certified facilities for safe processing to prevent environmental contamination.

7. Compliance with Regulations

  • Agnisio complies with:
  • E-Waste (Management) Rules issued by the Government of India.
  • Relevant environmental protection and hazardous waste disposal laws.

8. Continuous Improvement

We regularly review and improve our E-Waste management processes to align with technological advancements, legal updates, and best environmental practices.
